SUMMARY

Q-par Angus Limited, a microwave antenna and development company based in Leominster, UK, is pleased to announce the launch of a new compact ultra-wideband 0.8 – 40 GHz Omni-directional antenna, intended for Ultra Wideband (UWB) applications including communications, surveillance and Electronic Warfare. The 100 mm diameter antenna is Vertically Polarised with Azimuth ripple typically <+/- 1 dB on horizon.

Q-Par Angus Omnidirectional antennaAfter thorough development and testing, this new antenna is a welcome addition to Q-par’s range of Omni-directional antennas. These currently provide wideband performance up to 42.5 GHz, either vertically or slant polarised. The new UWB antenna will allow Q-par's customers to replace multiple antennas across the bandwidth with one antenna, resulting in reduced costs, set up times, and helping to meet critical weight and space requirements, particularly in airborne applications.

Robert Lowther, Q-par Angus Sales and Marketing Manager says, “We are happy to have developed such an excellent ultra wideband Omni-directional antenna that reinforces our position as a leading, innovative microwave antenna company. The benefits offered by this new antenna should prove attractive to our global customers and sustain the product for the foreseeable future.”
