MegaPhase Oasis® Universal Cable & Adapter Kit Used for
Microwave and RF Field Repairs in Rugged Environments

PA -- February, 10, 2009 — The recently launched Oasis® Universal Cable & Adapter Kit has been designed
to meet the needs of field installers and engineers that repair and maintain RF and microwave systems in the most
challenging conditions, from extreme heat to extreme cold. MegaPhase invested years of development perfecting the
tools and adapters in the universal kit to meet the demanding applications of the defense and telecommunications
industries.
Initially designed to support the US Marine Corps’ Testing Measurement and Diagnostic Equipment
(TMDE), technicians supporting the Warfighter now easily test and connect antenna farms for anti-artillery and
communications. The Oasis Kit provides a wide spectrum of adapters to meet any contingency in the field. The kit
is complete with common set of adapters that are completely interchangeable. The rugged kit is waterproof and
complies with MIL-PRF-28800F. The adapters can be easily selected from water-resistant foam, even with gloved
hands.
“Field installers often work under harsh conditions, and the Marine Corps struggled to keep their
antennae farms functioning, especially when original components came from several sources all over the world,”
recalls William Pote, president of MegaPhase. “We were able to design a kit that contained the full spectrum of
cables and adapters to solve their problem,” he reports.
The MegaPhase cables are low loss, flexible, non-kinking RF transmission line cables featuring GrooveTube®
Technology. The adapters are easy to install and suitable for use with antenna feeders, system jumpers and
interconnects.
