Sequoia Communications Expands Management Team with Two Promotions

 

Reza Kasnavi promoted to VP of product management, Duncan Pilgrim promoted to VP of marketing

 

SAN DIEGO – June 25, 2008 –Sequoia Communications, the RF semiconductor company setting new benchmarks in multimode design and integration, today announced two promotions – Reza Kasnavi has been named the company’s VP of product management and Duncan Pilgrim has assumed the role of VP of marketing.

Kasnavi, who previously served as director of product development, joined Sequoia Communications in 2005 and brings more than 11 years of expertise in the semiconductor industry. Prior to joining Sequoia Communications, Kasnavi was a Venture Partner at Tallwood Venture Capital. There he made contributions to several start-ups, which led to significant production volume of multiple products including the industry's only CMOS power amplifier for GSM handsets and InP-based IC's for OC-192/768 optical networking. Kasnavi also held positions at HP, IBM Microelectronics and Stanford University, where he earned masters and doctorate degrees in electrical engineering.

 

Pilgrim, who joined Sequoia Communications in 2007 as the director of product marketing, brings more than 14 years of RF engineering and marketing experience to Sequoia Communications. Previously, Pilgrim was a strategic marketing manager at RF Micro Devices (RFMD) where he was part of the team charged with developing long-term planning and strategy. Before his strategic marketing role at RFMD, he was a technical marketing manager responsible for creating product requirements and successfully developing relationships with customers and channel partners for RFMD’s cellular chipset business. He also held positions as an RF IC Designer and RF Applications Engineer at Mitel Semiconductors (formerly GEC Plessey Semiconductor). Pilgrim holds a masters degree from Wake Forest University.
