Intermediate Engineer: Embedded Hardware/Software and Mixed Applications

Synergy Microwave, a privately-owned and operated designer and manufacturer of passive and active microwave components, currently has career opportunities for qualified engineers in the Embedded Hardware/Software and Mixed Applications area. Synergy Microwave, located in Paterson, New Jersey, was founded in 1982 and is a recognized industry leading supplier of VCOs, PLLs, OCXOs, DROs, SAW oscillators, frequency synthesizers, coupler, filters, dividers, mixers, power dividers & combiners, attenuators, switches, amplifiers, demodulators, phase detectors, wideband transformers, and much more.

Very exciting opportunity to join a strong engineering team dedicated to developing radio frequency products for the microwave communication, microwave instrumentation, radar and defense applications. You will have extremely deep resources and guidance for modern radio product development using mixed signal and digital radio techniques.

Qualifications:

  • BS degree and 10 years work experience. Please provide portfolio examples.

  • Minimum experience 5 years with embedded system C code, VHDL, Altera and/or XLINX tools

  • Sound knowledge of related CAD methods

  • Hands on experience with hardware interface for mixed signal application (CAD, PCB, detail circuits and relevant programming)

  • Experience in radio frequency applications, Modulation algorithms, Signal detection, leveling and control.

  • Visual Basic, Visual C or C sharp. User interface tool development for both internal and customer application suites.

  • Limited needs for Test application Development for PC based data acquisition
