Why I have to log in twice? - RF Cafe Forums

The original RF Cafe Forums were shut down in late 2012 due to maintenance issues - primarily having to spend time purging garbage posts from the board. At some point I might start the RF Cafe Forums again if the phpBB software gets better at filtering spam.

When I log in once, it doesn't really log me in. The second time (immediately after) it works. A minor annoyance, to be sure. Curious if anyone else is having this problem. (I use Firefox, but I wouldn't think that would be a contributor)

Greetings kanling:

The need to sign in twice sometimes is an issue with the ISP that hosts RF Cafe. I have requested that they look into it a couple times, but every time they come back saying that the problem cannot be replicated on their machines. I have asked them to try using computers outside of their network and they claim to have done so without any problem.

Most times when I try to sign in myself, I have to do it twice. Other people have reported not having had the problem at all, and get signed in first time, every time. It's really stupid to have this as an issue. The ISP says they have checked all the server settings, but I think it probably has something to do with the timeout settings used to prevent outside hacking. Once again, we cal all thank the scumbag hackers for the inconvenience.

If anyone has any suggestions (other than switching ISPs), please let me know. Thanks, and I apologize for the inconvenience.
