NJ Bill Would Outlaw Anonymous Posting on Forums - RF Cafe Forums

The original RF Cafe Forums were shut down in late 2012 due to maintenance issues - primarily having to spend time purging garbage posts from the board. At some point I might start the RF Cafe Forums again if the phpBB software gets better at filtering spam.

Below are the old forum threads, including responses to the original posts.

-- Anecdotes, Gripes & Humor
-- Antennas
-- CAE, CAD, & Software
-- Circuits & Components
-- Employment & Interviews

Greetings:

I'm a little dubious about this proposal. After being forced to impose registration and log in for the RF Cafe forums, some action to stem the sea swell of anonomous posters of links to p*rn and Viagra sites is welcome. I resent spammers and wish them and their families famine and invasions of pestilence; however, I am always leery of pontificating, blowhard legislators putting yet another law on the books. Of course, it took a team of lawyers to write this, and it'll take a team of judges to figure out what they mean. Good luck.

* the asterisk is made necessary to defeat my own word censor program, thanks to spammers. Their actions are a great inconvenience to us all. I just cannot help but simle at the thought of that mass spammer in Russia having his skull "reconfigured" by a hammer last year.
