Hi, I understand that the capacity for wireless
standards is not a well defined number especially
for the CDMA based ones. However, if I have to specify
a generic number for all the major standards, what
would be these numbers? I am not asking for call
capacity per MHz that relates to a Site Capacity
etc. I am referring to the basic capacity(number
of users per channel). It would be benificial if
some one can give a technology specific capacity
for the following: GSM ? CDMA2000 CDMA1x
EVDO ( though we dont have a certain number since
the users are both voice and data users) UMTS
iDEN
Further, now that we have many vocoders
being used in different technologies that enhance
the call capacity for these standards, what would
be the capacity then? I certainly dont want to go
with the numbers that were there when the standards
were formed. Rather, a more current information
would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you all.
