8970B Noise Figure Meter Question - RF Cafe Forums

The original RF Cafe Forums were shut down in late 2012 due to maintenance issues - primarily having to spend time purging garbage posts from the board. At some point I might start the RF Cafe Forums again if the phpBB software gets better at filtering spam.

Hello all and thanks for reading.

If I set the 8970B Noise Figure Meter to one specfic frequency (say 500MHz) and I have no filtering in the test path, what is the operating bandwidth of the instrument? Lets assume the unit under test is a wide band device designed for 500MHz.

I looked in the operating manual and all I could find is that it's resolution is 1MHz but I do not believe that's the BW.
