RF Safety using home routers - RF Cafe Forums

The original RF Cafe Forums were shut down in late 2012 due to maintenance issues - primarily having to spend time purging garbage posts from the board. At some point I might start the RF Cafe Forums again if the phpBB software gets better at filtering spam.

Something that crossed my mind.
Home use wireless routers are generally transmitting at 2.4GHz (which is the water molecules vibrating freq). Checking the datasheet, I found that the TX power is 15-18dBm =~ 60mW. It sounds too high radiation power, from RF safety point of view and at home.
