Noise <-100 dBm??? - RF Cafe Forums

The original RF Cafe Forums were shut down in late 2012 due to maintenance issues - primarily having to spend time purging garbage posts from the board. At some point I might start the RF Cafe Forums again if the phpBB software gets better at filtering spam.

I'm using my pc to take signal readings of my wireless network. I'm using an orinoco gold card classic (with hermes chipset) and netstumbler as my utility. I am consistently getting noise readings <-100. Can anyone tell me how this is possible???

thanks
kevin
