Master Engineer??? - RF Cafe Forums

The original RF Cafe Forums were shut down in late 2012 due to maintenance issues - primarily having to spend time purging garbage posts from the board. At some point I might start the RF Cafe Forums again if the phpBB software gets better at filtering spam.

Greetings:

I was just thumbing through the January 2007 edition of Microwave & RF magazine and saw that Mr. Joe Gorin, of Agilent Technologies, is titled as a "Master Engineer." That is a title that I do not recall seeing before. Has anyone else seen that, or has Agilent invented a new title?

3 options:

1. Master of Science Engineer - new terminology. :-D

2. Master by means of Principal Engineer (More likely)
3. Best Engineer that works for Agilent Technologies.
