How to Block Websites in All Browsers - RF Cafe Forums

The original RF Cafe Forums were shut down in late 2012 due to maintenance issues - primarily having to spend time purging garbage posts from the board. At some point I might start the RF Cafe Forums again if the phpBB software gets better at filtering spam.

Below are the old forum threads, including responses to the original posts.

Greetings:

PC Magazine is a wealth of information on products, methods, and tips. In the June 2012 issue, there is a column describing how to block websites so that nobody can access them from any browser. There are firewalls that can do the job, but this is more fundamental - and easy as well.

Blocking all users of a Windows PC from opening certain websites--no matter what browser they use or what time of day they are online--is easy if you follow this guide to tweaking your browser and router.
