Cool New RF Forum! - RF Cafe Forums

The original RF Cafe Forums were shut down in late 2012 due to maintenance issues - primarily having to spend time purging garbage posts from the board. At some point I might start the RF Cafe Forums again if the phpBB software gets better at filtering spam.

Below are the old forum threads, including responses to the original posts.

-- Amateur Radio
-- Anecdotes, Gripes & Humor
-- Antennas
-- CAE, CAD, & Software
-- Circuits & Components
-- Employment & Interviews
-- Miscellany
-- Swap Shop
-- Systems
-- Test & Measurement
-- Webmaster

Dude, you promote your forum here and don't even have the decency to register. You don't even tell us who you are. I'd scrap this post so people don't get pulled into a site that will get them in trouble at work!

Apologies if i offended anyone. I often watch over this forum and simply thought that some of the issues have been paralleled beween the two forums. I have received useful advice from the RF Solutions forum and thought other people may benefit.

As regards "You don't even tell us who you are"... the name Guest is just about as informative as VSWR, wouldn't you say? Does being able to tell my ASL make my post more valid?

...and, "don't even have the decency to register", i reserve the right not register. If you don't like this i suggest you take it up with the Forum Administrator or perhaps one of the moderators.

Anyway, apologies again if my post has upset anyone. By all means remove them.

Also, it should be noted that i didn't, "even have the decency to register", on the RF Solutions Forum but received nothing but helpful advice.

Anyone can post and/or promote legitimate AND relevant content here.

If I read VSWR right (correct me if I'm wrong), he/she seems to be assuming that the poster is related somehow to the other forum, and if so should have declared so. That would be ideal, but it is not a requirement.

I have kept the forums as open as possible to foster participation. Occasionally, I have to remove posts selling insurance policies or certain "enhancement" drugs, but the vast, vast majority of the postings have been trouble-free. Hopefully, it will remain that way.

Thanks to all who contribute, and please do encourage your acquaintances to participate, too.

Kirt gotta admit that you're right. I did assume the poster was associated with the site he was promoting. I got to a lot of forums and this is a common tactic. If he isn't doing that, then my apologies.

Ok, apologies guys. I'm registered now, perhaps should've done this in the first place. Perhaps it was a little rude not too. I'm not associated with the other forum, just appreciated the help i got there. Perhaps should've tried here first.

All the best.
