180KHz or 200KHz in GSM? - RF Cafe Forums

The original RF Cafe Forums were shut down in late 2012 due to maintenance issues - primarily having to spend time purging garbage posts from the board. At some point I might start the RF Cafe Forums again if the phpBB software gets better at filtering spam.

when we calculate noise in GSM system, we consider bandwidth as 200KHz
but in some document it is 180KHz as "equivalent noise bandwidth".
so input noise or KTB=120.85dBm or -121.3dBm.
I think when we consider all system include baseband we use 180KHz instead of 200KHz, right?
Any clear answer about this?
