am Rohde and Schwarz service in my opinion is very poor.
We have returned to them a SMIQ generator two times.
The problem
we had have been commented to be a battery charger design issue that
was making the unit loose it's factory calibration, by the support people.
Once the unit returned after chargin us 3000$ they returned the
unit "un-repaired" with no comments. Only thing that have been done
is a recalibration, and they did not fix the trouble reported. This
took six months.
After a second return, now out of the waranty
period, they just suggested to buy a brand new unit.
I was and
I am still not impressed.

Rohde&SchwarzPosted: Wed Dec 07, 2005 2:57 pm R&S is a very
difficult company to deal with in terms of Sales and Service [including
their Calibration service]. Their sales and management force are arrogant
and misleading and this has been my experiance in the North East and
West coast. My personal message is "Anybody but R&S"

5 I agree that customer service sucks at R&S, but their equipment
beats the pants off of Agilent. Agilent, on the other hand, has great
customer service.
