The original RF Cafe Forums were shut down in late 2012 due to maintenance issues - primarily having to spend time purging garbage posts from the board. At some point I might start the RF Cafe Forums again if the phpBB software gets better at filtering spam.

TITLE: Sr. Product Marketing Engineer (RF/Wireless & Semiconductor)

JOB DESCRIPTION:

This individual is responsible for numerous phases of
product development and management. Key product
development activities include:

· Provide market analysis to support ongoing product
development
· Close cooperation with engineering team to guide
technical product development
· Work closely with key accounts on product
enhancements / improvements
· Develop magazine articles / white papers to enhance
product positioning
· Perform customer visits for both sales and product
development purposes


Key product management duties include:

· Develop and maintain sales / marketing collateral
material
· Maintain price list and help with pricing strategies
· Follow Engineering Change Orders (ECO) to ensure
timely implementation
· Help track SW bugs and hardware problems relating
these back to engineering
· Work with manufacturing to ensure timely shipments
and resolve build problems
· Work with multiple engineering teams to ensure
complete product capability development
· Help develop system configurations for customer
quotations
· Track key application development activities to
ensure completion
· Work with material procurement group to understand
build schedules and develop recovery plans for
material shortages
· Serve as a liaison for field application engineers
to resolve technical issues.
· Track product COGS and help implement plans to
improve COGS
· Manage build slots during peak demand periods to
ensure success with key customers


QUALIFICATIONS:

· BSEE / BSECE
· Minimum 3 years product marketing / applications
experience
· Experience in semiconductor ATE and or wireless / RF
instrumentation extremely helpful
· Excellent speaking skills and good interpersonal
skills
· Ability to travel domestically / internationally up
to 30%
