NuWaves Engineering, a leading Department of Defense
(DoD) contractor specializing in Radio Frequency
(RF) Systems, RF Products, Embedded Systems and
Engineering Design Services is actively seeking
a talented and highly-motivated Project Manager
with 5-plus years experience supporting and/or managing
engineering projects.
Full time and contract-to-hire
positions are available.
NuWaves is a fast-growing
Military Electronics design engineering and manufacturing
company located in Middletown, Ohio – north of Cincinnati
and south of Dayton.
Individuals must have
strong leadership abilities and be capable of engaging
team members to achieve exceptional results. Candidates
must also be adept at both understanding the voice
of the client and obtaining positive business results.
Experience with project planning, technical writing,
proposal writing, and financial reporting is essential.
Experience in engineering development is required
with a background in electronics or communications
development a plus – engineering laboratory bench
experience is valuable. Experience managing multiple
projects within a matrix organization is critical.
Description of duties include defining the scope
of work, assuming budget responsibilities, preparing
for and supporting the negotiation of contract and
subcontract documents, developing schedules, assigning
tasks to project staff, approving invoices to clients,
contract management, and other duties to ensure
project quality and profitability. Knowledge of
Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and Defense
FAR (DFAR) a plus.
Individuals must be self
starters, motivated, and be able to work with an
integrated product team. The individual will provide
project leadership to support military and industrial
clients.

Job responsibilities include:
-Develop
project plans and schedules.
-Lead project teams
to deliver with efficiency, quality, and within
schedule.
-Manage projects in concert with other
managers to achieve overall company objectives.
-Deliver internal progress reports.
-Maintain
appropriate client contact and provide credible
status updates.
-Supporting the writing of new
business proposals and targeted white papers.
-Represent NuWaves at industry events.
-Provide
formal presentation to clients on project status
(i.e Preliminary Design Review [PDR], Critical Design
Review [CDR].
-Identify project risks and execute
risk mitigation plans.
-Meet with clients as
applicable to discuss RF products and services.
