pass band filter - RF Cafe Forums

The original RF Cafe Forums were shut down in late 2012 due to maintenance issues - primarily having to spend time purging garbage posts from the board. At some point I might start the RF Cafe Forums again if the phpBB software gets better at filtering spam.

Try the filter companies, but be ready to pay some big money since it will be a custom design. You be better off designing it yourself, it would only comprise of 5 surface mount parts at best.

You can always use DSPs. Have you actually tried searching on Digikey for such a part? If it's not there, you can always use Google. I found this filters site through it http://www.ana-tech.com/.

I take that DSP quote back. I don't know much about it, but I remember my friend telling me that the frequency that you can sample is only as good as the processor speed. I don't think they have fast enough DSPs that can sample a 100 MHz signal. Anyone can shed a light on this? Remember, I'm clueless with DSPs.

Hi Amimar,
A bandpass filter at this frequency should be relatively simple to design. Once you have designed it and calculated the L and C values you need you should check the coil craft website for the inductors www.coilcraft.com. For the capacitors, try AVX (www.avx.com). Coil craft will probably supply you with a small quantity of free inductors. Upon finding the appropriate cap from AVX you may order it online from Radio Spares (rswww.com) etc. These components are reatily available.
