RF Hybrid Test Interface - RF Cafe Forums

The original RF Cafe Forums were shut down in late 2012 due to maintenance issues - primarily having to spend time purging garbage posts from the board. At some point I might start the RF Cafe Forums again if the phpBB software gets better at filtering spam.

Below are the old forum threads, including responses to the original posts.

We are trying to locate a method to get us a durable, repeatable, non-destructive connection interface between a flat-pack RF hybrid and a 50-ohm analyzer input. In the end-use application, the device would be soldered in place, but that is not possible to do in a manufacturing test environment.

Design a test fixture which merely clamps the part down to a test board. Tou can use a a piece of plastic with alignment holes which slips over the part to align the pins onto the traces.

You might see if Cascade Microtech can help.

Good Luck!
