With regards to my paging transmitter - I have taken a look
at the standard AS NZS 4769 Radiocommunications equipment used in the
paging service - Angle modulated equipment.
The standard lists
a number of requirements regarding transmitter behaviour: 1.Frequency
error. 2.Carrier Power 3.Adjacent channel power. 4.Frequency
deviation. 5.Spurious emissions 6.Transmitter transient behaviour.
Which of these requirements is directly related to phase noise?
Otherwise can I expect to find a requirement for phase noise in another
standard?
Thankyou

Hello Darcy,
To my understanding except parameter #6, none
of them is directly related to phase-noise. Phase noise is usually given
as a specification for the product/component itself (As a stand-alone
unit) and has no impact on standards for regulation such as for EMC
and safety.
