OP Amp output Impedance - RF Cafe Forums

The original RF Cafe Forums were shut down in late 2012 due to maintenance issues - primarily having to spend time purging garbage posts from the board. At some point I might start the RF Cafe Forums again if the phpBB software gets better at filtering spam.

I want to ask if it is correct to measure Op-Amp output impedance by measuring S22 with Network Analyzer

The answer is yes, but just be sure you do not exceed the DC voltage input level to the network analyzer.

Hi,

I agree with Brad. just wanna add, probably it's safer to use attenuator at the port 2 of network analyzer.

The assumption made in the previous responses is that you want the closed-loop output impedance (of the entire circuit), not the intrinsic output impedance of the operational amplifier (by itself).

Is this a correct assumption?
