embedded antenna: 802.11 a/b/g and GPS - RF Cafe Forums

The original RF Cafe Forums were shut down in late 2012 due to maintenance issues - primarily having to spend time purging garbage posts from the board. At some point I might start the RF Cafe Forums again if the phpBB software gets better at filtering spam.

I can understand the requirement for a dual band antenna (2.4GHz and 5.8GHz) which is available widely, but you will probably find it verry difficult to find an antenna that can also operate in the 1.8GHz.
If I were you, I would just go for the dual band knowing that I'm sacrificing antenna gain (attenuation, loss) with the GPS signal and accommodate for that with a good GPS-LNA.

best of luck.
