2.4GHz - RF Cafe Forums

The original RF Cafe Forums were shut down in late 2012 due to maintenance issues - primarily having to spend time purging garbage posts from the board. At some point I might start the RF Cafe Forums again if the phpBB software gets better at filtering spam.

Below are the old forum threads, including responses to the original posts.

No,I write in Chinese .

I mean that the power is 16 dbm, bandwidth is 60 MHz, can I reach 100m?

the RX sensitivity is -82 dbm

I am sorry for the language confusion. I also wish I could write in Mandarin.

The answer to your question is yes, the range is OK even assuming no antenna gain at each end.
The flat fade margin will be about 18dB, but over a 60MHz bandwidth you should expect to see dispersion fading if the reflection point on the ground (or any other object along the path) is visible from both ends.
